Calendar
The Calendar button in RCS messages makes it easy for customers to save important dates — like appointments, demos, or events — directly to their personal calendar. You can include a calendar button in any RCS message or carousel created through Clerk Chat’s Template Builder.

What does the Calendar button do?
When a recipient taps the “Add to Calendar” button in your RCS message, it automatically opens their device’s default calendar app with the event details pre-filled. This allows them to quickly save the event, helping reduce no-shows and keeping both sides aligned.
How to add a calendar button
Open Templates from the sidebar.
Create a new RCS template.
Select either “Rich Cards” or “Suggestion.”
Click “Add Button.”
Choose “Calendar Event” as the button action.
Label the button with your call to action (for example, “Add to Calendar” or “Save Appointment”).
Add your event details, including:
Event Title
Description
Start Date and Time
End Date and Time
Save your template when complete.

When the recipient taps the button:
Their device’s calendar app opens automatically (Google Calendar, Samsung Calendar, or other default).
The event details you provided are pre-populated.
They can edit or save the event like any other calendar entry.
