Overview
Our AI Voice Directory allows callers to simply ask for who they’d like to speak to by name, department, or both. For example, a caller might say:
“Connect me to Nathan”
“I’d like to talk to Blake in Engineering.”
“Can I talk to someone in Sales?”
The AI will search your company’s contact directory and return the most likely match, including their name, department, and phone number.
If multiple people match the request, or if no exact match is found, the AI will ask follow-up questions to clarify before transferring the call.
Once confirmed, the call can automatically transfer to the right person or department using a workflow.
How call transfer works
Voice recognition and understanding: The AI interprets natural speech to identify who the caller wants to reach.
Directory search: Matches are found based on your company’s directory of names, roles, and phone numbers.
Clarification if needed: If there’s more than one possible match (e.g., multiple people named “Michael”), the AI asks for clarification.
Seamless transfer: Once identified, the AI initiates the transfer to the selected person or department.
