This Clerk guide is designed to be short and concise to provide easy-to-follow instructions for specific tasks or processes within the Clerk Platform.
Here, kindly look for Teams Phone Standard license and enable it. If you have an E5 license instead, that will suffice as well, but please make to remove any other calling plans such as “Teams Calling Plan”, “Business Voice Plan”, “Communication Credits” If you do not have a Standard or E5 licenses, kindly purchase it and assign it to the user.
In the meantime, the number’s activated for SMS inside Clerk Chat should sync over to Microsoft Teams under Voice > Phone numbers in your Teams Admin portal. If it does not, kindly allow 10-15 minutes for Microsoft to sync over
Once it syncs over, kindly head to Users > Manage Users and select the User to assign the number to. Tap on “Edit” and change Phone Number type from “Direct Routing” to “Operator Connect”
Once you do so, you should be able to assign a number and it’ll thus be enabled for calling. If the number does not appear, kindly allow it 5-10 minutes and then contact our Support.
