At Clerk, we empower you with a granular level of control to effectively manage your team members. Our platform offers a range of features that allow you to streamline collaboration and communication within your organization. Here's an overview of how Clerk helps you manage your team:

Invite Team Members: You can easily invite team members to join your Clerk workspace. By providing their email addresses, you can send them invitations to become part of your team.

Assign to Shared or Individual Inboxes: Clerk enables you to assign team members to shared or individual inboxes based on your requirements. Shared inboxes allow multiple team members to access and collaborate on incoming messages or requests, while individual inboxes provide a dedicated space for specific team members.

Set Permissions: With Clerk, you have the flexibility to define permissions for each team member. You can assign different roles or access levels, such as administrator, manager, or agent, depending on their responsibilities and the level of control you want them to have. This ensures that team members only have access to the features and information relevant to their roles.

Clerk's robust management capabilities empower you to optimize team collaboration, delegate tasks, and maintain control over your workflow. With our platform, you can streamline communication, enhance productivity, and ensure effective teamwork within your organization.

Inviting a Team Member

In the left panel, click Invite Team or Settings β†’ Members.

A modal window appears. Add an email, select a role, and select a phone number.

Your team member will receive an invite in their email inbox. Once they accept, they will be able to access the Clerk account.

Assign Members to an Inbox

From your Clerk application, Navigate to Settings, and click on the Members option. You will see a list of all your active members. Select the user and assign the inbox from the dropdown menu.

A checkmark indicates the inbox assigned to the user. They will be assigned to that particular inbox/number. Now they can start sending & receiving SMS with that number.

Permissions

Clerk is designed to support a very granular permission structure, making it an ideal choice for both enterprises and small teams. With Clerk, administrators can assign specific permissions to individual users or groups of users, giving them control over which actions each user can perform within the app.

This level of control is essential for organizations that need to maintain strict security and compliance standards. It also makes it easier for small teams to manage access and collaboration within their own organization.
