Use Belle to improve your AI agent

Belle is Clerk AI's expert on building, improving, and analyzing your agents.

Our goal with Belle is to abstract the complexity and nuances of building voice and RCS agents.

This article covers how to use Belle to improve your AI agent.

  1. Log into your account at clerk.ai.

  2. Go to the Build section and select the agent you want to improve.

  3. Open Belle.

  4. Click the refresh button to start a new conversation. You're now ready to begin.

  5. Tell Belle what you want to improve. For example: "Hey Belle, I listened to a call today and the tone was a little too verbose. Make the agent more professional and keep its answers shorter."

  6. Send your message. Belle will review your workspace and current agent, then come back with a plan for you to approve or deny.

  7. If you deny the plan, you can give Belle feedback to refine it. If you're happy with it, approve it, and Belle will build the improvement and update your agent.

  8. Modified areas of your agent are easy to spot: they're marked with an orange ring and the label "Modified."

  9. Test your changes using the test call or test message option in the top-right corner.

  10. Once you're satisfied with the fix, save a draft.

  11. Important: Your agent isn't live yet. Saving a draft only stores your changes — you still need to deploy it.

  12. To make it live, go to the Version section, rename your version, and click Make Live. When you see a green bubble next to your new version, it's live.
