Search

Finding what you need in Clerk Chat is simple, thanks to Search, which is built right into multiple areas of the platform.

You can access Search from several places across Clerk Chat:

1. Sidebar Search

From the main sidebar, type any word or phrase into the search bar.
Search will return results across:

  • Contacts

  • Conversations

  • Workspaces

  • Inboxes

  • Lists

2. Contacts

Looking for a specific person or phone number? Type a name, digits, or even a keyword (like “sales”) to instantly locate the right contact.

3. Lists

Use Search to quickly find a specific list by name, or filter lists created by a particular team member.

4. Templates

Search templates by name to locate text or RCS templates you or your teammates have created or shared.

5. Agents

In the Agents section, Search helps you find:

  • Active agents by name

  • AI agent templates for quick access

6. Chats

Search within chats to find specific messages or keywords inside active or past conversations.
